See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

I think I’m coming close to being finished with this blog. I made it as a means to share information regarding protests and anti-fascism, as well as a means to educate myself on both matters. I had this hope of using this space to network with others and distribute information but now I’m wondering if this website and platform are the best ways to do this.

Maybe it’s just because I’ve been largely radio silent for so long and I’ve kind of lost touch with the content creating side of things, I’ve not been doing report backs from the demos I attend, haven’t been uploading as many reports on actions, I can’t honestly be sure if this blog serves any purpose at this point.

I’ll likely hang onto this space but it just feels unused already.

This blog supports trans rights and has no tolerance for transphobia, or attempting to undermine the existence of trans people. If you cannot accept trans people’s identities and their access to services and spaces available to others, then you have no place here.

For years know I’ve been close with various trans and gender non-conforming people, some I’ve known since they were kids, some who are decades older than me, and I’ve seem they face a variety of obstacles and hostilities. Transphobes in denial come out throwing abuse and telling trans people things about their own bodies that they already know, and it just makes me think of my friends who harm and threaten nobody, who just want to live in peace but are met with hostility and violence. When you know someone is trans and you actively seek them out to single them out on the basis of their genitals, while they are minding their own business, you have gone out of your way to harass an innocent person. I will not have it.

Plus there’s all the obvious flaws with transphobic organizing like how it frequently weaves into far-right and conservative organising. When you’re standing next to proud boys and members of the National Front you should know something is wrong.

Fuck your transphobia..

Nothing transphobic about the dictionary definition of the word woman and women refusing to submit.

It does smack of misogyny when people are this uncomfortable with women standing up for themselves and their right to self-define, however.

This statement initially wouldn’t of been transphobic but that was before certain political sects try to use it in a way that is exclusionary to trans women. Adult human female is still a good description for a trans women, but in the context of these stickers, distributed by transphobes, means they are being put up with the intent of trans-exclusionary feminism.

I do suspect you already know this and that it just isn’t a problem you care about or believe exists.

May 13, 2021 - Immigration cops tried to arrest two men in Glasgow, Scotland, on the day of Eid. A huge crowd of locals in the area of Pollokshields, chanting “these are our neighbours, let them go!”, turned up and boxed the police van in for seven hours, withstanding attempts by police to break through the crowd, until the cops were forced to let the two men go. WHAT A FUCKING RESULT!!!

This isn’t even the whole story - it gets so much better.

This was not a pre-planned event. The home office just showed up in the morning to take them. A neighbour tweeted asking for help and people mobilised and united entirely on their own. None of these people woke up today knowing this is what they were going to do.

That man who was under the van? He layed there for EIGHT HOURS so it couldn’t move.

The local mosque opened up and started handing out refreshments to the people protesting:

And when the men were finally released (after 9 hours of being the the back of the van) the whole crowd walked them to the mosque so they would be safe:

This was the ultimate “fuck you” to the British government. It was an absolutely incredible show of solidarity and what happens when people mobilise.

The power of the people is stronger than the people in power.

For further context on how this kind of action became so necessary in Britain: this article appeared the same day.

This photo comes from Patriotic Alternative, a white supremacist organisation founded by ex-BNP member Mark Collett. The banner they’re holding also comes from the BNP, apparently PA are too lazy to make their own propaganda so they’ve pulled this out of the BNP closet for re-use.

Here is the same banner behind convicted terrorist and child groomer Jack Renshaw, who was convicted in 2018 for trying to solicit photos from boys under the age of 16. Around the same time he was convicted for his plot to murder a local politician (Rosie Cooper) with a machete he’d bought.

So to recap what we have here. A banner being used by a white nationalist group, that originally belonged to a different neo-Nazi party, that harboured pedophile fascists who plotted to commit acts of terrorism. They talk about fighting grooming gangs, until its revealed their gangs are made up of groomers.

Activists from Palestine Action have occupied and closed down Israeli-owned Elbit Systems which is a military drones factory, they’ve climbed onto the roof halting production for the day. Earlier today the fire brigade arrived to assist the police in removing the activists until the Fire Brigade Union intervened and told the firemen to stand down, refusing to participate in removing the activists. The occupation is still ongoing.
